NU Honours Professional Admission Circular 2020-21
You can apply for the NU honours professional course admission 2020-21 from 12th September 2021 at 4.00 PM and it will end on 28 September 2021 at 12.00 AM. You have to pay 300 BDT as a primary application fee to the college where you applied. The particular college authority will send this fee to the National University authority on behalf of students.

Minimum Requirement for Application
You need to meet some minimum qualifications to apply for the NU honours professional course 2020-21. Students from science, business studies, and humanities groups can apply. The English medium students can also apply.
Students who have passed SSC in the 2016/2017/2018 session and HSC in 2018/2019/2020 can apply to the NU honours professional course. But you should have a minimum GPA in your SSC and HSC exams.
Science and Business Group
You have to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the SSC or equivalent exam and 2.5 with the optional or 4th subject in the HSC or equivalent exam.
Humanities Group
If you study in the Humanities group, you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the SSC or equivalent exam and 2.5 with the optional or 4th subject in the HSC or equivalent exam.
English Medium (A/O Level)
Students of English medium can also apply to the National University honours professional course 2020-21. In this case, a student should pass the 2016/2017/2018 year’s O-level exam’s three subjects at least with B-grade. Also, he/she should pass the 2018/2019/2020 year’s A-level exam’s two subjects with a B-grade in at least one subject.
Special Case
If you are already admitted to any of the honours regular or professional courses in the 2018-19 or 2019-20 session under the National University, then you cannot apply to the NU honours professional course 2020-21. You have to cancel the current admission to apply here.
Admission Process and Number Distribution
There will be no admission test arranged for the admission of the NU professional course. However, students will be selected based on their SSC and HSC exam results. 40% selection mark will be taken from the SSC exam result and 60% will be taken from the HSC exam result.
In some cases, two or more candidates may secure the same merit. Then the student who is younger will get a priority in the merit list.
The National University authority will publish a 1st merit list. Then according to the blank seats, they will publish 2nd merit list, release slip and so on.

How to Apply
The application process is very simple. Even it may seem quite similar if you applied to the NU honours admission. Anyway, if you are not familiar with the process, we are going to make it clear below:
- You need to go to (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) this link. There you can find a “Apply Now (Hons. Professional)” option in the “Professional Tab”. Click on that.
- Then you will be asked for your HSC roll and registration number, board, session and mobile number. Provide those information correct.
- If you see the gender is mismatched, you can change it from the “Click to Change” option.
- Then, you have to select a college and make a list of the subjects according to your choice.
- If you have any quota like the freedom fighter quota, you will be asked to make an entry about it. You need to have a main certificate that proves your quota.
- Add your photo. It should be in a formal appearance. The photo size should be 120 x 150 pixels and the file format should be jpg with a maximum size of 50 KB.
- Check if everything is okay. Then click on the “Submit Application” option to submit your application.
- After submitting your application, you will get a Roll and PIN number. Also, you will get a PDF form of your application. Download and save that information safely.
- Then, you need to pay 300 BDT to the college that you choose during your application. If you are not sure how to pay the college, check the college’s website or contact them.
You can change your information if you make any mistake by logging into the dashboard through the Applicant Login option. From the Applicant login option, go to the Professional login page. Then put your Roll and PIN there that you got during your application to log in.
