Job Details
Assistant Station Master
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must be completed Honours degree from any government-certified university with a minimum 2nd class result or equivalent CGPA.
- Age Range: 18 years to 30 years
- Total Post Number: 427
- Eligible Applicants: Applicants of any district of Bangladesh.
Assistant Locomotive Master
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed their HSC or an equivalent qualification in Science from a recognized educational institution
- Age Range: 18 years to 30 years
- Total Post Number: 134
- Eligible Applicants: Applicants of any district of Bangladesh except Pabna, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari & Kustia districts.
Conditions for BR Application
- Candidates who are between 18 and 30 years old as of January 18, 2024, are considered eligible to apply. However, in the case of sons and daughters of freedom/martyred freedom fighters who have reached the age of 32 years, they will also be considered for the application. An affidavit is not admissible in case of proving age.
- Candidates working in government, semi-government and autonomous organizations must apply through the appropriate authorities. Candidates for the job have to tick the box of the ‘departmental candidate’ while filling the application form subject to fulfilling all the conditions. This condition will not apply to others. However, in all the jobs, the candidate has to submit the original copy of the no-objection clearance issued by the recruiting authority during the viva examination.
- In the case of recruitment, the existing rules and regulations of the government will be followed if the quota system and the rules are amended later.
- If any candidate served the Bangladesh railway as a permanent employee for at least 20 years, his/her child or his widowed wife has to submit the proof.
- The authorities reserve the right to increase/decrease the number of mentioned positions and to cancel or to amend the circular.
- The decision of the hiring authority will be the final decision regarding the recruitment.
- The candidate will not get any TA/DA to participate in the written and viva examination.

Requirements for Filling the Application Form

- Applicants will upload his/her color photo of (300 x 300) pixel and signature of (300 x 80) pixel. The maximum size of the photo will be 100 KB and the signature 60 KB.

Required Documents for Viva Examination
- A set of all educational certificates attested copies including the original copies.
- Application form and one set attested copy of the application form.
- Citizenship certificate issued by chairmen/ward member/mayor/ward counselor.
- Original copy of the National ID card.
- If the applicant is a son-daughter of a freedom fighter or grandson/granddaughter of a freedom fighter, they need to submit the freedom fighter identification certificate issued by chairmen/ward member/mayor/ward counselor.
- If the applicant has any quota, he/she needs to submit the original copy of the quota related documents
