On February 27, 2020, about 70,000 trainee lawyers took part in the MCQ exam. Out of these 70,000 candidates, only 8,764 candidates passed the MCQ exam. In addition, in 2017, a total of 3,590 students out of 34,000 students dropped out from the written exam.
3,590 students of 2017 and 8,746 students of 2020 i.e. a total of 12,878 students took part in the Bangladesh bar council written exam held on 19 December 2020. Where the written test was held in 9 examination centers.
However, due to some problems, the examination of 5 centers was canceled. Then the examination was held in these 5 centers on 27 February 2021.
Out of these 12,878 candidates, only 5,335 have passed. Where the pass rate is below 50%. However, the results of 230 candidates have been suspended for the decision of the Third Examiner and the results of one examinee have been withheld.
