General Science and Technology Admission Circular 2024-2025
The General Science and Technology (GST) Admission Test is a standardized entrance exam for undergraduate science, engineering, and technology courses at universities in Bangladesh. The exam is conducted by the respective universities authorities, and the admission process includes meeting certain GPA requirements and taking the GST Admission Test. Out of the initial pool of applicants, 150,000 students will be chosen for each unit to proceed to the final admission test. These selected applicants will be required to submit a final application to participate in the exam

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the admission test for 22 general, science, and technology universities has not declared yet.

Initial Application Requirement
There are a total of 3 units: Unit A (Science), Unit B (Arts), and Unit C (Commerce). Let’s familiarize ourselves with the admission requirements for each unit.
For A Unit (Science)
- Applicants who have completed their SSC/ equivalent exams in 2021/2022 and HSC/ equivalent exams in 2023/2024 with a science background are eligible to apply for admission
- To be considered for admission, candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 (including optional subjects) in each exam and a cumulative GPA of 7.00 in both exams
For B Unit (Arts/Humanities)
- Candidates who have passed SSC or equivalent examination from 2021/2022 and HSC or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024 from the Humanities Group can apply for admission.
- Applicants must be obtained a minimum grading point average (GPA) of 3.00 (including 4th subject) in each examination and a total grading point average (GPA) of 6.00 in both exams.
For C Unit (Commerce / Business Studies)
- Students who have passed their SSC or equivalent exams in 2021/2022 and HSC or equivalent exams in 2023/2024 with a Commerce background are eligible to apply for admission.
- Candidates must be obtained a minimum GPA of 3.50 (including the fourth subject) in each exam and a total GPA of 6.50 in both exams.

Admission Test Marks Distribution
Only the selected candidates from the initial application pool will be eligible to appear for the admission test, which will be held at designated centers. Each unit will conduct an admission test with a total score of 100 marks. The duration of the admission test will be 1 hour, and the passing score will be 30 marks.

Please note that students are required to take an exam in either Bengali or English in place of Mathematics or Biology, and complete a total of 4 subjects.

GST Online Application Procedure
The primary application process for admission to the combined university will commence in ….. 2024. Eligible students who meet the minimum educational requirements can submit their application online. The admission authority for the General Science and Technology Cluster system has developed a website for online applications, which can be accessed at gstadmission.ac.bd.

- If you are eligible for an application, click on the “Primary Application” button.
- Now you get the application form and fill-up this up with your academic information.
- Upload your image and signature.
- If everything is ok, click to “Submit” button.
- Before the final submission website shows you all the information overview with image and signature. Check your all information again.

ভাইয়া, বানিজ্য বিভাগ থেকে উত্তীর্ণ শিক্ষার্থীরা কি মানবিক বিভাগে আবেদন করতে পারবে না ?
মানবিক বিভাগে শুধু English + Bangla = 75 marks
বাকি ——= 25 কিসের ওপর exam হবে ?

আপনারা বলছেন A unit এ আইসিটি থেকে কোনো প্রশ্ন আসবেনা আবার বলছেন বায়োলজি এবং অঙ্ক থেকে একটা বেছে নিতে হবে তাহলে 20 মার্ক কম পারলনা?

আমি C Unit এ আবেদন করেছি কিন্তু করোনা র জন পরিক্ষার তারিখ অনেক পিছিয়েছে তাই আমি আমার Sartificate সংশোধনের জন্য শিক্ষা বোর্ডে পাঠালে এটা সংশোধন হয়। এখন আমার sartificate এর সাথে GST ইর admit কার্ড মিল নেই। এখন এটার সমাধান কি বলেন।
