Eligibility to apply for admission
A) The candidate must have to pass the SSC / equivalent in 2018/17 and HSC / equivalent examination in 2020/19 from the science department and at least get a total GPA of 7.00 in total and at least 3.00 in each. However, HSC exams should have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in math, physics, chemistry and English separately. Note: SSC / equivalent before 25 and HSC / equivalent side student before 25 and GCE ‘O’ level before 25 and GCE ‘A’ level student before 25 are eligible to apply. Not.

Exam System and Mark distribution
According to the latest SEC admission circular, the exam will be taken on four subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. 70% of the mark will come from the SEC admission exam (MCQ) and 30% of the marks will be measured by evaluating SSC and HSC exams.

SET Admission Exam Marking System:
- The MCQ exam will be counted as 70% of the total marks.
- SSC / Equivalent exam and HSC / Equivalent exam’s mark will be measured as 30% of the total mark but there are some other terms.
- Both of SSC and HSC exam result is going to be multiplied by 3. So, the total mark of SET admission test 2021 is 130. (100 for the MCQ exam and 30 for the SSC & HSC result).
- Candidates’ HSC exam marks will have an effect on the result. Who have more marks per subject will have priority.
- The subject sequence is Math, Physics, Chemistry and English.
Pass Mark: To pass the Sylhet Engineering College Admission exam you have to get at least a 40% mark.
