US Ambassy Free English Online Course 2020
Enrollment is currently open. Participants may enroll in this course until 19 March, 2021. Participants may log in at any time after enrolling, day or night to access the course. All the modules of course work must be completed by 29 March, 2021. Participants who complete the specified activities with a score of 70 percent or higher will receive a digital-badge and certificate.

This course is offered by the Online Professional English Network (also known as OPEN), a United States Department of State (DOS) initiative and is administered by FHI 360, a US based nonprofit human development organization.

This English for Media Literacy is one of many initiatives the United States Mission in Bangladesh is supporting this year to promote greater co-operation, dialogue and mutual understanding between Americans and Bangladeshis.
US Ambassy English Course online 2020 – What Students Can Learn:
In this course, participants will investigate how media has changed over time, identify targeted marketing strategies and explore the world of advertising, analyze sources to detect bias and examine how diversity representation in media influences individual identity and society.
This course provides the possibility to develop a broader understanding of the role media plays in our lives while building the vocabulary and language skills needed to research what we read and watch.
At the end of this course, participants are going to be ready to analyze media messages and evaluate positive and negative aspects of social media. They will be ready to identify marketing strategies in use, recognize bias within the media and analyze diversity representation in mass media.
