Required Qualifications

To qualify for the BD Police TRC job, you need certain qualities. If you possess these basic qualifications, you’ll undergo various tests later on. Both male and female candidates are welcome. More details are provided below

Age Limit: 18 to 20 years.

Educational Qualifications: SSC or passed in Equal Standard Exams (Minimum GPA 2.5/Equal).

Nationality: Permanent citizen of Bangladesh (Men and Women).

Marital Status: Unmarried (Not Divorced)

Male Candidates’ Body Size:

• Height: For normal and other Quotas it is 5 feet 6 inches and for Small ethnic groups and Freedom Fighter Quota (not applicable for the grandchildren of freedom fighters) it is 5 feet 4 inches.
• Chest: For normal and other Quotas it is 31 inches at normal state and in the extended state it has to be at least 34 inches. The candidates who are holding Freedom Fighter quota (not applicable for the grandchildren of freedom fighters) it has to be 30 inches at normal state and 31 inches at extended state.
• Weight: Weight should be an approved measure with age and height.
• Eyesight: 6/6

Female Candidates’ Body Size:

• Applicants will receive their User ID immediately after completing the application.
• In the given User ID applicants have to deposit a 40 TK service charge from a pre-paid Teletalk mobile no within 72 hours.
• On the online application form candidates have to attach their signature (height- 300 px and width- 80 px) and color photo (height- 300 px and width- 80 px). Then you have to submit this application.
• Candidates have to collect the color print of the filled-up application form for exam purposes and any other aid in need.

Selection Method

Preliminary Screening: Applicant will be selected for Body Size Measurement and Physical Endurance Test through preliminary screening.

Body Size Measurement and Physical Endurance Test: Selected candidates will attend the test at the mentioned place. The time and date will be provided

Written Test: After passing the Body Size Measurement and Physical Endurance Test the candidates will attend the test on the mentioned date. (Bengali, English, General Math and General Science – Total 45 marks)

Psychological and Oral Test: The applicants who have passed the written test will attend this test on the provided date. (15 marks)

Primary Selection: Primary selection will be based on candidates’ test results and quotas.

Police Verification and Health test: Initially selected candidate will attend this test. The police super of the concerned district will schedule the venue, date and time.

Ultimately inclusion in training: After attending the training center Initially selected candidates will get included in the ultimate training after verifying some important information.

Required Documents for Preliminary Screening

Selected eligible candidates through preliminary screening must be present on the date and time specified in the notice at their respective district police lines (where the candidate’s permanent residence is located) for physical measurements, document verification, and participation in the Physical Endurance Test (PET). The following documents must be present:

• Admit Card for Physical Endurance Test: Downloaded and printed copy of the Admit Card for the Physical Endurance Test (2 copies).
• Educational Qualification Certificate: Original copy of the educational qualification certificate or temporary certificate.
• Character Certificate: Original copy of the character certificate issued by the head of the last educational institution.
• Citizenship Certificate: Original copy of the citizenship certificate issued by the Chairman of the Union Parishad or the Mayor of the City Corporation in the district of permanent residence.
• Parental Consent Certificate: Certificate provided by the legal guardian (as per the sample on the Police website).
• National Identity Card: Original copy of the candidate’s national identity card (If the candidate does not have a national identity card, the original copy of the national identity card of the candidate’s father/mother).
• Photographs: Three recent passport-sized color photographs verified by a government gazetted officer.
• Freedom Fighter’s Offspring Certificate/Martyr Freedom Fighter’s Offspring/Certificate for Freedom Fighter’s Grandchildren: Original copy of the certificate issued by the Chairman of the Union Parishad/Mayor of the City Corporation/Ward Councilor (if applicable) in the candidate’s area of residence, as well as the original copy of the certificate published in the gazette.
• Certificate of Affidavit for Freedom Fighter/Martyr Freedom Fighter’s Offspring/Proof for Freedom Fighter’s Offspring: Affidavit issued by the 1st class Magistrate or the succession certificate issued by the competent court for the children of freedom fighters/martyr freedom fighters (if applicable). The candidate’s father/mother’s name, position (with BP number), and workplace must be mentioned in the affidavit.
• Police Quota: Original copy of the certificate issued by the Superintendent of Police/Officer-in-Charge of the working district, mentioning the name and designation (with BP number) of the candidate’s father/mother, for the entitlement of the police quota for constable position (if the candidate’s father/mother is retired/deceased, the original copy of the certificate issued by the unit head at the last workplace of the candidate’s father/mother should be submitted).
• Ansar and VDP Quota: For candidates in the Ansar and VDP quota, the original copy of the certificate of participation in the mandatory basic training of 70 days issued by the head of the government Ansar and VDP training center.
• Orphan Quota: For candidates in the orphan quota, the original copy of the certificate/testimonial issued by the head of the government orphanage or registered orphanage mentioning the candidate’s permanent address and registration number of the residence.
• Minority Community Quota: For candidates in the minority community quota, the original copy of the certificate issued by the king/leader of the minority community or the district magistrate/sub-district executive officer.
• Employed Candidate’s Permission Letter: For candidates employed in government/semi-government/autonomous organizations, a duly authorized letter from the appropriate authority is required.”
