HSC Short Syllabus 2026
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said that this year’s HSC examination will be held in accordance with the new HSC syllabus 2026. She further said that a short syllabus has been prepared for HSC candidates to prepare for the exam in 3-4 months. HSC examination will be held this year on the basis of this syllabus. The syllabus is being designed in such a way that students have the opportunity to prepare for the exam for 3-4 months before the exam.
So let’s find out in detail, what the HSC new syllabus 2026 might look like, when it will be published and why the students were not given auto pass this year like last year.

HSC Exam New Short Syllabus
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that the new syllabus has already been prepared and the syllabus has been prepared in such a way that the students can prepare for the exam in just 3-4 months. 15-25% may be omitted from each book in short syllabus. Topics in 11th class that are similar to the topics of class 12 can also be omitted.
The work of shortening the syllabus has been completed by forming a separate team for each book. The syllabus for each book will be summarized in such a way, students do not have to face any kind of problem as they go to the next level of education.
Reason for Creating New Syllabus This Year
The government has decided to take this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations in a short syllabus due to the closure of educational institutions for a long time. In order to create short effective syllabus, a team of subject matter experts was formed for each book of class 11-12 and a complete short syllabus was prepared in collaboration with each group. The syllabus will be published soon.
Due to the corona epidemic, the educational institutions have been closed since March last year, so the students of class 11-12 could not take regular classes. Even though the class was taken online or on TV, it was not possible to complete the syllabus or the students could not take the real lesson. The new syllabus is designed so that students do not waste a year.
Reason for Not Giving Auto-Pass This Year
Despite the students’ movement demanding auto-pass, auto-pass will not be given this year. Because, last year, when the HSC examination about to start, the spread of corona infection in Bangladesh started to increase. At that time the rate of infection was so high that the government of Bangladesh was forced to close all kinds of educational institutions. At that time, the students could not prepare for the HSC exams and they were given auto-pass without taking the exams for the safety of the students.
But in the case of 2021, the rate of corona infection is different. The infection rate is declining this year. Therefore, this year HSC examination will be arranged by ensuring maximum safety of the students in compliance with all the health rules. Therefore, auto-pass will not be given this year.
